Malaysia Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai

A tropical rainforest rises in the heart of Expo 2020 Dubai’s Malaysia Pavilion. Nestled between the Sustainability District and Mobility District is Malaysia’s ‘Rainforest Canopy’ Pavilion. The architectural marvel blends esoteric design with animation elements and the use of technology to deliver an immersive experience, highlighting the bond between man and nature.

Malaysia’s rainforest canopy-fitted and ‘Energising Sustainability’ themed pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai was with the structure designed by Kuala Lumpur-based Hijjas Architects + Planners. Landscaping planned for the pavilion includes a wale reed bed water pool to create a cooling effect, and a water spring to bring natural tropical scenery within the complex. Additionally, the pavilion will feature vertical gardens.

Ergo’s scope in this nature-inspired rainforest project was to do the lighting control system programming, testing, and commissioning in order to create pre-designed effects within the architectural elements of the pavilion.
